My name is Mary and I am the owner and head developer for Meatpie. I write and direct the projects, and call the shots for the most part. My pronouns are she/they and my birthday is August 11th. At the time of writing this, I am 20 years old and was born in 2003. That’s all the boring information out of the way at least!
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been an artist. I can’t think of a time in my life where I wasn't drawing and creating stories. I love making characters and writing, and I found that games are just my medium of choice. I’ve also been a fan of RPG Maker games since my childhood, and was always super impressed by the outstanding stories people could tell. Even though the gameplay is relatively simple in most cases, I still found it super charming. I liked RPG Maker horror games in particular for a mix of the thrill and the puzzle solving gameplay. Even if admittedly I’m not great at puzzles, I still enjoy them a lot.
Some of my favorite works include, The Witch’s House, Ib, Mad Father, Misao, The Strange Men series, Your Turn to Die, Blank Dream, Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea, and there’s so many more games I want to list but don’t have the space to. I could write a 20 page essay on this subject if I so chose to, so I’m just going to cut myself off here. I really hope my passion for the subject shines through in my work!
